Programs and Ministries
Sunday School - The biggest part of real Christian growth comes from hearing. We teach Christian Living, Bible History, the nature of God, and how to make Christ part of our everyday lives. Sunday School makes a difference!
Sunday Worship - We come together on Sunday morning to give each other strength, love, and bring the Holy Spirit into our midst. We do this through songs, prayer, communion, and lessons on Christian faith.
Children - Classes are offered with an emphasis on Bible Study. Children can grow in their love of the Lord through fellowship, service, education and outreach programs like V.B.S.
Acolyte - Acolytes work closely with the pastor and take part in the church service lighting and extinguishing the candles on the altar. Children in 2nd grade and above can lead in worship.
Music Ministry - provides an opportunity for enriching lives through singing, playing, praying, sharing, service, worship, education and fun.
Wednesday Nights at Lambuth (W.N.A.L.) - Meet for a home cooked meal, a Small Group Fellowship, Bible Study and choir.
Community Contributions and Volunteering - We contribute to Gallatin Cares, Shalom Zone, and minister to Morningside Assisted Living and McKendree Lambuth Senior Adult Community.
The organized unit of United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship, to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Prayer Shawl Ministry - shawls are handcrafted, prayed over, then sent with blessings. Ladies of the United Methodist Women were taught how to crochet and knit. The second phase was added - that of making fleece blankets. It, too, has become a marvelous part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The group is known as “The Stitchers”.
Seedsowers is a bible study group open to everyone, a discussion group that was organized in 1989. If you are interested in studying the Bible and other Spiritual-based books, make plans to join us.
The Lambuth Gems started in 2011 as a benevolent program to help the less fortunate in the Gallatin Community by contributing food to those in need. Gallatin C.A.R.E.S. was chosen as the distribution point because of their expertise and long standing work in this area. Participants agree to donate at least $5.00 each month, and receive a packet with 12 envelopes for their contribution.
The Arts @ Lambuth is designed to accomplish the following:
